ON HIS PEDIGREE: WULFS Signature 9302S: the maternal grandsire of Hunt Credentials 37C ET, who is the #1 bull in the breed for milk, #15 for TM, and had a significant impact in improving marbling in the Limousin breed.
• KAKE Jericho 5J: Long, thick, and quiet. A maternal grandson of WULFS Unmatched 2311U, who was part of a winning pen of 3 at the National Western Stock Show, and had a significant impact in reducing birth weight and increasing calving ease in our herd. Jericho's first daughters are calving this spring.
• KAKE 116Z: the matriarch of one of our favorite maternal lines. A feminine powerhouse known for her calves' tremendous growth and extreme docility. Born late June and had her first calf in March of her 2-year-old year, and weaned her last calf at 13 last year - demonstrating exceptional fertility and longevity. Her grandson, KAKE Fiat 11F (see also 13N) is #2 in the breed for birth weight and #7 for CED.
• KAKE 68C: A big-bodied, high performing female. A lot to appreciate despite the birth weight she throws. She has no reason to be as quiet as she is (other than her mother's influence), but she's guaranteed to be in your way any day we're working cows.

ABOUT THIS BULL: Both sides of his pedigree can be credited for his length, width, and performance, but he's as sleek in the head and shoulders as his sire, who we've used on heifers.
Check out his half brother, 62N, and 3/4 brother, 5N, and you'll see the length and muscle expression we expect from the Jericho line. They represent the stretch, muscle, and carcass qualities that lead cattlemen to Limousin, with the added marketability of a black hide.
Following in his sire's footsteps, this bull is exceptional in several carcass categories, ranking in the top 1% of the breed for yield grade and fat thickness, top 25% for ribeye, and 30% for dry matter intake. Additionally, he's in the top 15% for milk, and 35% for total maternal - and he ratioed 112 at weaning.

HOW WE’D USE HIM: If you're not breeding heifers and sending all your calves to the feedlot, this is a great option.
If you're keeping replacements, they'll build muscle into your herd, but we'd cross them back to something with lower birth weight and added marbling.
