ON HIS PEDIGREE: WULFS Handiwork T027H: The overall power and substance of this bull caught our eye first, followed by his performance-stacked pedigree, and the growth and scrotal EPDs that accompanied it. We used him on moderate-framed, easy-calving females who proven performance of their own.
• KAKE Kolbe 73K: The performance of his sire combined with the moderate frame of his dam makes him a smooth-bodied bull we've been using on mature cows. His first daughters are calving this year.
• KAKE 67B: A WULFS Yadavalli 8081Y (Wulfs Waldo T928W) daughter, who has been a top-tier producer of fertile females and high-performing bull calves. Of her ten calves, only one has gone to the feedlot. The rest are in our herd or working for someone else. (See also 48N and 84N).
• KAKE Apollo 82A: The maternal grandsire of KAKE Fiat 11F, who ranks #2 in the breed for birth weight (see 13N) and #7 for calving ease on heifers, and the sire of KAKE Keystone 7K (see 33N, 42N, 72N and 148N). We used him on heifers for nearly a decade.

ABOUT THIS BULL: A red version of his sire, he's long and thick, with a smooth head and shoulders.
He deviates from the usual, above-average birth weight of Kolbe calves with a birth weight ratio of 99 and 106 at weaning.
One of two Kolbes available this year (see also 84N).
He ranks in the top 30% of the breed or better for five traits ranging from calving ease and milk to scrotal to fat thickness and feed conversion.

HOW WE’D USE HIM: He'd be a great complement on a herd of mature cows.
